COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 31, 2006 – American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) has scheduled a live webcast of remarks by Michael G. Morris, AEP’s chairman, president and chief executive officer, at the Lehman Brothers CEO Energy/Power Conference in New York.
Morris will address an audience of investors at the conference Sept. 7 at 1:45 p.m. EDT.

During the conference, which runs Sept. 5 - 7, AEP will reaffirm its 2006 ongoing earnings guidance of $2.65 to $2.80 per share.
