Energy Efficiency Programs in Virginia offer residential customers a FREE home energy assessment, rebates on appliances and home improvements, and low-income weatherization assistance. Incentives for businesses are available for the installation of energy efficient lighting and equipment. More Ways to Save Money

Appalachian Power offers two voluntary programs for residential customers with smart meters. These programs help customers save money by shifting their energy usage to more affordable, off-peak hours.

With these programs, customers are charged different amounts for electricity depending on when they use it throughout the day and/or time of year.
