Thanks to a grant from the AEP Foundation, the kids at the Boys & Girls Club in Charleston will be getting a brand new STEM-focused "maker space" for use in after school and summer programs. The funding will help create the space and implement a wide base of programming that will increase exposure to STEM and encourage exploration during the afterschool and summer programs. Liz Turner and Megan Bullock with MESH | Design and Development kicked the project off by facilitating a brainstorming session to design the program, determine the atmosphere and layout of space, and brainstorm unique materials and technologies for young people to enjoy.
