Appalachian Power encourages customers to provide documentation for any
household member using life-sustaining equipment. To register your account, you and your
physician must complete a Life Support Device Verification form and return it to us.
While we are unable to guarantee priority restoration during power outages,
Appalachian Power does maintain a record of customers with life support equipment.
Life support customers are advised to take precautionary measures to protect
themselves in the event of a loss of power.
