AEP schedules live webcast of CEO´s presentation at annual Morgan Stanley Energy Conference

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 11, 2003 - American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) has scheduled a live webcast of Wednesday´s presentation by E. Linn Draper Jr., AEP´s chairman, president and chief executive officer, at the Morgan Stanley 10th Annual Global Electricity & Energy Conference in New York.

Draper´s presentation to an audience of industry analysts is scheduled to begin at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday and can be accessed through the Internet at http://www.aep.com/go/webcast.

Minimum requirements to listen to broadcast: The Windows Media Player software, free from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/EN/default.asp, and at least a 28.8Kbps connection to the Internet.
