INDIANA MICHIGAN POWER PRESENTS $143,000 INCENTIVE CHECK TO MULLINIX PACKAGES INC.

June 12, 2013

The compressed air optimization project, which includes the installation of no loss drains and the repair of leaks, will help reduce equipment waste and downtime. The project qualified under the Retro-Commissioning Lite Program, one of I&M’s energy efficiency programs.

“Not only does this project support the environment through reduced power usage, but it helps Mullinix lower their monthly electric bill, therefore positively impacting local economic development”, said Paul Chodak, Chief Operating Officer of Indiana Michigan Power.

“With the installation of this new system, we were able to increase our facilities’ air handling efficiency by 30 percent and with the incentives we received from I&M, we were able to offset the capital improvement associated with the installation”, said Gene Gentili, CEO and President of Mullinix. “The application process was simple and we received our check within weeks of completing the project.”

Incentives are available for this and other qualifying energy efficiency upgrades to I&M’s Indiana business customers. Through the program, customers work with program-approved service providers who help identify system improvements and efficiency measures. Energy saving incentives are available to help offset the cost of implementation of the new efficiency measures. A few of the benefits of participation include – reduced energy consumption, enhanced building performance and extended life expectancy of equipment.
